LOS BRAZOS’ THIRD IN THE OWEN

Though their overall rythm seemed to be slowing down, the rock trio announces they’ve been preparing a «big surprise» to be out soon as well as their third album, «a big load of rock», as Alberto Chamorro, Koki insures.

In the past November 2014 the band spent a weekend at the Estudio Rojo 2.0 in Gijón. As Txemi says: «we went there in order to work in the new songs and gather some ideas to finish some of them, we didn’t spect the resulting recordings would show such an advanced work, so we will probably go on and record the third before summer». Koki and Txemi had already worked at Estudio 2.0 in 2013, where they recorded for the spanish singer Pablo Valdés.

Even though none of the  album’s content will be revealed, the band wants to communicate they will «take some extra time in the overall production and especifically in the sound, as we are searching for a better reflection of our live sound. We will take some time in testing sounds and instruments… soon you’ll see the results».

The album is suppposed to see the light this year and will probably be recorded at the band’s rehearshall studio in Sopelana, where they also did their debut album «Delay, 10 Classic Tracks«.

Once again, Saúl Santolaria will be the one to record the album, that will be probably produced by both band and himself, as long as the band has no label agreement and remains independent since the day they were born.

Aunque su frenético ritmo parecía haber descendido en estos meses, el trío más hiperactivo del panorama sale al paso y contra todo pronóstico anuncia que lejos de descansar, ha estado preparando «una gran sorpresa» inmediata, y un tercer álbum que vendrá, en palabras de Alberto Chamorro, Koki, «cargadito de rock».

A finales de 2014 la banda pasó un fin de semana en el Estudio Rojo 2.0 de Gijón. Cuenta Txemi:  «fuimos con la idea de maquetar un poco y reunir ideas, pero hemos visto que mucho de lo que pensábamos estaba verde no lo está, así que vamos a animarnos y probablemente hayamos grabado el disco mucho antes de verano». Koki y Txemi ya habían visitado el Estudio Rojo en 2013, donde estuvieron grabando bases para su amigo Pablo Valdés.

Aunque nada del contenido será desvelado por el momento, la banda sí quiere comunicar que para esta ocasión van a tomarse «más tiempo en todo el proceso en general y en la acústica en particular, en nuestra búsqueda del reflejo de nuestro sonido en directo. Nos tomaremos un tiempo en probar otras cosas también, otros sonidos… pronto lo veréis».

El disco verá la luz este mismo año y al parecer será grabado en los locales de ensayo de la banda en Sopelana, como el que fuera su álbum debut «Delay, 10 Classic Tracks«. Saúl Santolaria será el encargado de la grabación. La producción de momento será nuevamente realizada al completo entre el ingeniero y la banda, que permanece sin acuerdo discográfico y arreglándoselas por sus propios medios desde el día de su fundación.
